Q-Gen Bio Ltd. is a spin-off founded in Seoul in August 2026, built on the neurophysics research of the Korea Institute of Quantum Brain & Neural Sciences (KIQBNS).

Overview

Overview

Q-Gen Bio develops the GDCT (Glymphatic Dynamics & Clearance Therapy) platform. Rather than directly clearing waste the way an antibody or drug would, we focus on non-invasive, closed-loop stimulation that opens the brain's own clearance pathways — the glymphatic system, cerebrospinal fluid outflow, and the meningeal lymphatic vessels.

Founding story

Founding story

Q-Gen Bio began with founder Kim Kwang-woo's nearly 40 years of independent research into the K-complex. In 2025, he presented his first poster on inducing wake-state K-complex-like activity at K-Brain 2025, marking his debut in the formal scientific community. To commercialize that body of research, Q-Gen Bio was founded as KIQBNS's spin-off, and KIQBNS remains a research partner to this day.

Vision

Vision

We aim to contribute to human brain health through a non-invasive platform that can safely activate the brain's self-clearance system — normally understood to be active mainly during sleep — while awake. Starting with consumer wellness products, we plan to expand step by step into research, medical, and public-health applications. (See our roadmap ↗)
